About the Author

Brian MacArthur is associate editor of The Times, responsible for the Books, Travel and serialization pages. He has been a journalist all his life, and was the first editor of the Today newspaper. He edited THE PENGUIN BOOK OF HISTORIC AND TWENTIETHCENTURY SPEECHES.
He lives in Islington, London.
