From the Back Cover

CAD in Clothing and Textiles provides a unique insight into the practice of computer–aided design. The contributors were selected fro their special, individual expertise, so that a wide range of CAD applications is covered. These range from writing of software and the sale of systems to the use of the technology in industry and education. It is expected that the forthright views and ideas expressed by these contributors will stimulate discussion and be valuable to students and to companies interested in CAD technology.

Since the first edition was published in 1992, new developments have continued to enter the market. This second edition has accordingly been updated, the impact of virtual reality on the clothing industry is discussed and a new chapter investigates practices of using CAD to teach clothing design and pattern development.
