The third edition of Essential Neurology continues to live up to its title, and will provide medical students with the essential knowledge of neurology and neurosurgery, in both text and diagrams, of the common neurological and neurosurgical disorders is the primary purpose of this textbook for clinical medical students.
For this edition, the author has written a new first chapter, which integrates the traditional pre–clinical and clinical phases to correspond to the new medical curriculum. A student at any stage should therefore be able to use the book. The chapters have been re–ordered, the illustrations improved and the text updated and slightly condensed, to make neurology as easy to understand as possible.
The author has enjoyed more than 20 years experience of both neurological patients and clinical medical students, and remains strongly committed to the welfare and education of both. The book will be appreciated by all those seeking a clear, practical and concise guide to clinical neurology.
