It includes excerpts from the sonatas--such as the opening of the second movement of Sonata No. 14, the adagio from Sonata No. 5, and "Adagio Cantabile" from Sonata No. 8--as well as highlights from the symphonies.

Arranged in order of difficulty, the pieces are designed to develop both the fingers and ears as well as introduce the composer's more memorable works.
