Paperback. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Dover Thrift Edition, 1997. Paperback in Very Good Condition. Cover is clean and unmarked with slight corner wear. Binding tight and square. Pages toned, otherwise as new. Other stories include The Offshore Pirate, The Ice Palace, Bernice Bobs Her Hair, The Jellybean, and May Day. The main story is a glittering fantasy about the corrupting power of wealth. Fitzgerald's tales of the rich and glamorous characters during the roaring twenties portray the manners and morals behind the frenzied pursuit of material wealth that almost inevitably result in disillusionment and cynicism. His stories involve timeless concerns: love, money, power, the search for happiness and the death of illusion.184 pp. 8vo. 1997, Dover Publications. Seller Inventory # 028936
