Synopsis
This is a guide to understanding the timeless mysteries of the tarot. Dr Gray believes that the complex and sometimes obscure nature of the books on the subject has acted as a barrier rather than a help to people who are attracted to these ancient cards and would like to understand and use them. In this text he has carefully extracted the original, basic meanings of the cards from a number of authentic sources, stressing those symbols that have persisted beneath the many guises the tarot has assumed throughout the centuries. He has put the meaning of the symbols and the interpretations of the cards in simple language, so that the beginner can easily take the plunge and begin to use the cards. The title includes 52 easily-organized entries, one for each card, including a full page reproduction of the card from the most popular deck now available, and detailed descriptions of the divinitory significance of the card.
