About the Author
Alice Pelton is one of the world's leading experts on women's experiences with contraception, and since founding The Lowdown in 2019, she has become a spokesperson to drive for change. Alice worked with the UK government on their Women's Health Strategy and is frequently asked to comment on women's health issues by media outlets including Radio 4 Woman's Hour, The Times, The Sun, The Daily Mail, Vice and Wired magazine. At The Lowdown, she is backed up by an in-house medical team of specially trained GPs run by Medical Directors Dr Melanie Davis-Hall and Dr Frances Yarlett, who write and review all of the curated content (200+ blogs) on the platform and social channels.
