Volume II continues the main work from O'Donnell to Zuylestein and adds the twentieth-century supplements, which cover 1901-1960 and are combined into one sequence. In the original DNB in 1882 it included concise biographies of all deceased noteworthy inhabitants of the British Isles and the Colonies. This set includes the original and additional volumes of updates through 1960. Two very large volumes with slipcase and slide out drawer with magnifying glass. Books are fine except for a couple of corner creases. The partitioned slipcase is sturdy but has scrapes on the sides and wear on corners and edges.
