About the Author Richard Gregory is Emeritus Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Bristol, and founder chairman of The Exploratory, a hands-on science center. He is an experimental psychologist and inventor, whose interests include human perception, especially visual illusions, and artificial intelligence.
