Synopsis
This edition explains how a computer is organized and how it works. It describes the basic concepts of the stored-program digital computer and provides an insight into Boolean algebra, logic circuits, binary arithmetic, computer architecture, memory technology, assembly-language programming, and input/output devices.
About the Author
Alan Clements is Motorola Professor in the School of Computing at the University of Teesside, Middlesbrough. In 2002 he was awarded both a National Teaching Fellowship for his contribution to teaching and the IEEE Computer Society's 'Computer Science and Engineering Undergraduate Teaching Award'.
