Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good Minus. 105pp. Quarto [28 cm] Charcoal gray cloth over boards. With multiple dings to the spine along the joints. In the dust jacket, with periodic chipping along the edges and folds, along with two tape repairs, and very subtle sunning to the spine. From the publisher- "William Blake inherited this Notebook from his brother, in 1787 and filled it over the years with emblems and portraits, with sketches large and small, with lyrics, epigrams, and parts of essays, with memoranda, instructions, and comments on his contemporaries. He used it for trial designs, and draft poems. With writing over and around pictures, erasures and alterations, the Notebook has always been hard to decipher, though crucial to any understanding of Blake and his development."
