Excerpt from The Scientific Study Teaching of Languages
In a recent letter. You ask me for the latest news concerning the work In which you were so interested. You ask whether I have succeeded in correlating the various aspects of the problem in one homogeneous system of linguistic pedagogy. My answer takes the form of the present book. I have been able to recon struct the body of it from memory, and to augment the original documents by a large quantity of new material, and have finally ventured to submit it as my contribution to the ditcrature of linguistic pedagogy.
