About the Author
Peter Manning is unofficial consultative editor of O.U.P's Computer and Digital Audio Series, co-published with A-R Editions, Inc. He has written various articles and contributed the 'Computer' entry in the Grove Dictionary of Musical Instruments (1985). He lives in Durham.
