Synopsis
This study examines the history, geometry and practical construction of three-dimensional puzzles, and explores their increasing popularity throughout the world. Many different kinds of interlocking assembly puzzles are described, including a number of previously unpublished ones and many posing unsolved problems. Containing problems involving burrs, Tangrams, polyonimoes and those using rhombic dodecahedrons and truncated octahedrons, this collection will interest mathematicians and puzzle enthusiasts alike.
