Quirky young American first novelist. Grew up in Palos Verdes, Ca. Dropped out of college twice. Worked at Getty Trust (fired), Al's Bar (fired), Future Perfect Gallery (fired), Columbia Studios (fired), finally moved to the Yucatan, Mexico and Belize where she spent 8 months in 1996.
