Synopsis
Fabulously successful Camilla Jameson Porter's society magazine DQ drips with flattering portrayals of the rich enjoying their riches. Andrew Kelly, the magazine's photographer, is away in the South of France on the latest assignment when he comes across a curious scene: A Cezanne painting being hurriedly carried out of a villa and into a shabby-looking van. His investigations begin to reveal a highly lucrative art swindle that involves a shady art dealer and a master forger. Teaming up with his girlfriend Lucy and Impressionists expert Cyrus Vince, Andre embarks on a Cezanne-chasing mission through France.

About the Author
Peter Mayle escaped Madison Avenue in 1975 to write books after fifteen years in the advertising business. He has contributed to a wide range of publications and his work has been translated into twenty-two languages. His other books include A YEAR IN PROVENCE, TOUJOURS PROVENCE, HOTEL PASTIS, A DOG'S LIFE and ANYTHING CONSIDERED all published in Penguin. He lives in France.
