Synopsis

First published in 1891, "John Sherman" and "Dhoya" represent some of Yeats's most important prose. Yeats's only complete attempt at realistic fiction, "John Sherman" is about a man torn between two women and two cities, London and Dublin. "Dhoya" is a mythological tale set in the remote past, depicting a liaison between a mortal and a fairy.
