This is a presentation of the theory and application of the principles of engineering dynamics. This edition pays special attention to developing definitions and explanations of concepts and emphasizes the development of students' problem-solving abilities through problems and examples. It includes "Procedures for Analysis" sections that provide students with a logical method to follow when applying theory, and emphasizes the drawing of free body diagrams throughout the text. It presents numerous well-chosen examples to illustrate the application of the fundamental theory to practical problems and offers problems drawn from a broad range of engineering disciplines that stress practical realistic situations encountered in engineering practice. Some problems may be solved using either a computer or a programmable pocket calculator.
