Synopsis
This practical introduction to the principles of writing scripts for television and film explores in detail such basic elements as plot, character, conflict exposition and dialogue. Using examples from well known films, the author explains why certain scripts are more successful than others. The award-winning screenwriter Irwin R.Blacker taught for 20 years at the University of Southern California's film programme. Amongst his students were the writers of such films as "Apocalypse Now" and "Star Wars".
