Hinges exposed, upper pastedown sprung, scattered spotting. The second collected edition of two popular works of biblical and historical scholarship by orientalist John Gregory (1607-1646); Notes and Observations upon some Passages of Scripture (1646) and Posthuma (1649), the latter being a series of tracts on diverse subjects including the terrestrial globe and the progress of the Assyrian Empire.
