Title: The Intuition of Zen and Bergson: Comparative intellectual approach to Zen, reason of divergencies between East and West. Publication Details: Tokyo: Herder Agency / Enderle Bookstore, 1969. True First Edition, First Printing. Format: Octavo. Cloth boards with original dust jacket. Investment Value: US$400.00 Rarity Status: A single extant copy globally in this complete, inscribed configuration. This unique volume features an intimate personal presentation inscription from the author on the front free endpaper: "To Perpetua Clancy". The recipient, Perpetua Durack Clancy, is a prominent Australian literary editor and archivist. She is the daughter of the internationally acclaimed Western Australian artist Elizabeth Durack and the niece of Dame Mary Durack (the celebrated author of the historic Australian family saga Kings in Grass Castles). This specific volume represents a rare, physical cross-cultural nexus, documenting a direct intellectual bridge between the mid-century Tokyo academic circle surrounding the Kyoto School of Philosophy and the premier artistic and literary dynasties of Western Australia. DEFINITIVE CONDITION REPORT: The Book [VERY GOOD]: The binding is remarkably tight, square, and structurally uncompromised. Internal text pages remain highly crisp, bright, and entirely clean. Light, age-appropriate foxing is restricted gracefully to the rear of the front and back book boards, the back flyleaf page, and the upper and side edges of the exterior page block; the bottom edge remains completely immaculate. The Dust Jacket [VERY GOOD]: The original pictorial jacket is vibrant, highly crisp, and entirely free of tears or chips, showing only minor shelf wear at the extremities. Crucially, it preserves the highly sought-after printed endorsement by the legendary Trappist monk Thomas Merton on the front flap ("I like this work very much and hope to see it published"). The Errata Slip [FINE]: Tucked safely inside is the incredibly scarce, original loose printer's "Addenda and Corrigenda" errata slip for the footnotes. This fragile piece of ephemera has survived in immaculate, Fine condition: completely crisp, uncreased, and free of damage. Finding this loose insert intact after nearly six decades is exceptionally rare, serving as definitive proof of the premium archival stewardship this volume has received. Shipping & Handling: Packaged with professional-grade, archival care. Securely boxed and tracked worldwide to protect its unique provenance. International postage tracking will be fully updated upon dispatch.…
