Collection of Moscow-based short novels by Soviet writer Leonid Rzhevsky, known for his vivid portrayals of postwar urban life, moral dilemmas, and the generational changes in 20th-century Russia. The title Zvezdopad ("Falling Stars") captures the author's characteristic blend of realism and lyricism. This copy is personally inscribed and signed by Leonid Rzhevsky on the half-title page with a warm, full-page dedication dated July 1986: "To dear Sonya, in memory of past battles, evening walks, and with unchanging love for the heroes of our stories. With sincere affection - from the author L. Rzhevsky, July 1986." A touching association copy from a noted Soviet prose writer, scarce in signed form. Light age toning to edges, otherwise a clean and solid copy.
