1st edition paperback with 32 pp of poignant and honest poetry from a struggling individual. Limited to 200 copies, this being #7. Author's dedication on copyright page as follows: "Vicki & Tom, Here are a few thoughts I have been carrying around for years - It got to the point where I had to share them to go on. Love, John 12/24/78. Slim stapled paperback has very light foxing on inside covers, only fault within. Published dedication: To Mary Sappingfield and Susan Silva. Because they both understand. Rare volume was never reprinted, stated on last page: "This book was produced at the private press of Joseph Halton in the Sierra Mountains of California in the fall of 1978. The body matter was set on a Model Five Linotype and all display composition was set by hand. The pages were hand-printed by the author on a Vandercook proof press. This book was printed in a limited edition of 200 signed and numbered copies. The type forms were destroyed after the last proof on Christmas Eve 1978, the very day the author wrote his inscription to the former owner's of this copy. Some of the poems are: Sessions, about a therapy appointment/ Stay Close to Jesus/ Death Wish (about watching a man who is threatening to jump from a building)/ Brautigans (poem about gift books given to author written by Richard Brautigans/ On Smiling (always smiling)/ The Horse (a wooden horse)/ Ode to an Artist/ A Quiet Morning in the City, and many more.
