A very good copy of the stated first softcover edition, inscribed to Jim [Grinnell] and signed and dated (1990) by Jim McCarthy on the front endsheet. Postcard from British Car Magazine addressed to James W. Grinnell laid in; Ginnell was the author of John Fitch: Racing Through Life. A few of Grinnell's pencilled notes in the margins, with sparse circling of words in pencil throughout the text. The binding is bright and fresh in appearance, with very moderate wear to the extremities, as from reading. A lovely copy.
