An inscribed copy -- with some interesting supplemental materials -- of this detailed, illustrated survey of military grade firearms used throughout the world circa the 1960s. Frank Moyer was an Army firearms expert who originally gathered the material for the Army Special Warfare Center. This copy has a general inscription from Moyer to members of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers on the title page. Also included is a two-page 1978 signed letter from Moyer to David Atlee Phillips, founder of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers and a quite notable CIA operative during his active career. In the letter, Moyer, who had sent the organization several copies, describes the publication history of the book. That history includes a description of another insert -- 1967 photo of Moyer presenting a copy of the original issue of the book to Gen. William P. Yarborough, commander of the Special Warfare Center. Moyer has inscribed the back of the photo. There's also a stamp on the back from the original source of the photo: the Syracuse Herald American. 326 pages, blue cloth. Third printing, no dust jacket. Has tanning on the spine, light general wear.…
