Garland details his travel plans to attend "the exercises" at the University of Maine. Very good (mounting traces on verso). Garland served on the Board of Charles F. Lummis' Sequoya League. Garland (1860-1940) was an American author; winner of the Pulitzer Prize 1921; film credits include "Money Magic" 1917; "Cavanough of the Forest Rangers" 1918 (novel Cavanaugh, Forest Ranger); "Ranger of the Big Pines" 1925 (novel Cavanaugh, Forest Ranger).
