Addressed to Jane Geisman, at World Publishing, New York. The sheet shows two horizontal folds from being folded for mailing, staple holes in the upper left corner. "October 18, 1960. I have always been stingy with my comments on books but Eugene McCarthy's [Frontiers in American Democracy] obviously calls for an exception. It is an interesting and excellent collection. Do quote me as saying, "I suppose that Eugene McCarthy is the most literate and incisive writer now in public office. This book comes fully up to expectations.
