Flame, or tree-shaped, carved form with surface in yellow ink, measures: 5 in. x 4 1/4; the face-form, with flesh-pink inking, measures: 3 in. x 4 1/4 in. These carved forms were either used to print images for an illustrated book, or are samples of this type of printing device. They were sent as collector's samples to a book collector in Cleveland, Ohio in 1994, in a small envelope with D'Ambrosio's printed signature and Scottsdale, Arizona address, on the back of the envelope, the envelope has been slit across the top-edge, and contains some unrelated notes in blue ink on the outer surface, plus the original address in red ink (possibly by D'Ambrosio). The printing forms are in fine condition, the envelope is as described above. A very scarce type of collector's item; we have not been able to determine what book or other production these were used to illustrate, or if the P.8, refers to page eight or not. The forms are in a small, plastic bag with a small sliver-like sample of plastic (printing medium?) with embossed lettering. Sold as a set of two items, only. Seller Inventory # ABE-603537287
