Second printing of the first combined edition. A great association copy signed and inscribed with a fish doodle on the front free endpaper to the author's girlfriend turned friend, Valerie Estes, "This copy is for Valerie Estes Richard Brautigan with love from Richard Brautigan June 2,1970. Bound in publisher's matte photo illustrated boards. Near Fine with light wear at spine ends and corners, uneven toning to contents likely due to poor quality paper stock. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with light soiling and wear, and a faint tide mark at foot. A nice copy of Brautigan's omnibus with his wife and child on the front cover inscribed this to an ex-girlfriend, Valerie Estes. Estes was an active participant in the San Francisco literary scene. She graced the cover of his spoken-word record Listening to Richard Brautigan,1969. The two remained good friends until the author's suicide in 1984.
