Uncorrected galley proof of Richard Brautigan's The Tokyo Montana Express, issued ahead of the Delacorte Press/Seymour Lawrence first edition published later in 1980. Original publisher's white wrappers, 295 pages. Signed and inscribed by the author, dated approximately one month before the book's publication. Condition is good, or slightly better. The spine shows toning, and there is some staining and foxing to the covers. A scarce pre publication format from one of the defining voices of the Beat and countercultural literary scene, made more significant by the personal inscription so close to release.
