About this Item
This 5.625 x 8.25 inch, 191 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is the 1939 first edition of this title with that date on the title page and . . . First Printing . . . stated on the copyright page. The book is in fine condition with only a few touches of time wear to the red-cloth covers . . . with the cloth remaining bright and solid and with a small block on the spine featuring gold lettering for the title. The interior is strictly fine with the illustrated endpapers, a previous owner?s stamp on the ffep, and with the apparent inked signature of the author on the half-title . . . simply ?Joseph Henry Jackson.? The book features four accountings of four early California highwaymen . . . Black Bart, Rattlesnake Dick, Dick Fellows, and Tom Bell. The dust wrapper is complete . . . but shows considerable wear at the edges with several inch-long tears and four pieces missing at the folds. The corners of the dust wrapper have been clipped but a $2.50 price still shows. 191 pages. Seller Inventory # 1505-1577
