A patch to the middle of the front pastedown with surface abrasion, apparently a bookplate removal, four small abrasion patches to the ffe, and an inch open tear to bottom of the first blank (see pictures). Otherwise a beautiful copy. Bright pages and plates. No foxing. An inch closed tear to the jacket cover top edge. Two small half-inch mostly closed tears to the upper spine corners and upper cover outer corner, minor rubbed tears to spine bottom, minor creases. In a protective bookcover. Signed. Numbered Limited Edition. 250 copies printed. This is copy #176. Signed by the Author on the one-page Preface. Signed by the Artist on each of the 10 photogravure illustration plates. Original half vellum and orange cloth, leather spine label with gilt lettering, gilt ruling to the vellum at cover edge. Marbled endpapers. Gilt top edges. Fore and bottom edges untrimmed.
