She walked away from the life everyone expected and into the one she was always meant to find.
Jordan Whitman was supposed to rule Manhattan's legal elite. When she discovered her fiancé's double life, she didn't fight, she vanished. Flying west to a Victorian mansion she unexpectedly inherited in the tiny mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, she imagined a refuge where she could nurse her wounded heart. Instead, she found a long-vacant house that seemed to be waiting for her return.
Restoring the mansion means working alongside local contractor Brandan Webb. He has a gift for bringing old houses back to life, and avoids relationships with equal determination. Their connection is immediate, but after betrayal, Jordan isn't ready to trust what comes easily.
As the restoration unfolds, so do the house's secrets. Hidden within its walls are the journals of the manor's original mistress. Inside, Jordan discovers a remarkable love story, devastating betrayal, and unsettling parallels between the past and present that are impossible to ignore.
As history begins to repeat itself, Jordan and Brandan must decide whether they're willing to risk their hearts to change an ending written more than a century ago.
Some destinies aren't meant to be repeated. They're meant to be rewritten.
Absolutely and utterly Brilliant!! Every single moment and every single page was like Christmas morning. Ms. Foster, you are now on my MUST READ ANYTHING YOU WRITE list!! — Amazeballs Book Addicts
