"Where the lofty Ozarks rear upward toward the sky And the carnivorous seed ticks dwell, In that wonderful land where the papaws grow Live a slip of a lass, Ellie Belle." [on the page opposite the Preface] Turkey Knob is a summit on the Ozark Plateau in Missouri. "Ellie Belle was blond, slender, and busty, and her long, shapely legs and well-upholstered figure moved stealthily among the rustic, rugged male population of the hills.
