Jacket "near fine" with some rub and small closed cuts to edges. Inscribed & signed by author Hage to the title page. (PLEASE NOTE: The word "inscribed" -- for those in Westminster, California, who can't seem to figure this out -- means the author has written additional words to the recipient, sometimes of a personal nature, usually directly above his or her signature. Potential buyers who find this confusing and who may be more visually oriented may find it useful to examine our attached scans, which include one or more photographs of the inscribed page in question.) Not price clipped; original $14.95 price showing. "Second Edition" stated to copyright page, and Ron Arnold's "Editor's Introduction to the Second Edition" notes "many small but useful changes throughout the work," including an expanded Table of Contents, so this is a true second edition, not a mere second printing, albeit published only one year after the first. In addition to the fact the two editions bear different ISBNs, second edition appears to be most easily identified by a primarily green dust jacket, while our first edition copy has a brown dust jacket, though we're not sure that's universal. Free Enterprise Press, "a division of the Center for the Defense of Free Enterprise," clearly identified as publisher to book spine, DJ spine, title page, and copyright page. Note that some offerings will list as "publisher" Merrill Press, also of Bellevue, Washington -- which is indeed listed as the distributor. The split estate and property rights in the "public lands" of the West. Hage was a rancher and historian of these topics, who fought the federal taking of his grazing rights near Tonopah, Nevada, through the courts. After his death, his daughters won those lawsuits, vindicating his arguments & analysis. Some have told us they find this somewhat reorganized second edition more useful & definitive. 265 pp. This signed copy now reduced from $310.…

Terms of sale
Email vin@catscuriosities.com. For return and refund information see Abe Books policies. Delivery of parcels to Africa, Latin America, and Asia (except Japan and Singapore) can be problematic. We urge prospective buyers in these regions to contact us in advance to determine if secure shipping can be arranged. Delivery to a relative, business associate or consular official in North America, Europe, Japan or Australia is often the best option. In our experience, deliveries to Italy and France take at least three weeks, regardless of shipping method; we cannot control Customs delays in those countrioes. NOTE: Cat's Curiosities sells used books. We attempt to identify books which have a damp or musty smell, when we sell them at all. Otherwise, while our books are currently stored in a temperature-controlled, smoke-free location, buyers should assume our used books have previously been shelved inside human habitations and have been exposed over the decades to some combination of wood smoke, tobacco smoke, leather dressing, or other aromatic agents unknown to us. We offer no certificates of hypoallergenic purity. Those wishing to make symbolic gestures of support for the prohibition of tobacco and other medicinal plant extracts should apply elsewhere.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.

Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Cat's Curiosities, P.O. Box 4843, 89041-4843, Pahrump, Nevada, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
