Lippincott Books, located in Hampden, has over 15,000 out of print and rare books in stock. We have a general antiquarian stock with strong holdings in Maine history and literature, lumbering and the North Woods of Maine, and Indians of the Eastern Woodlands. We also have detective and science fiction, vintage paperbacks and pulp magazines. We've been in business since 1975.
We are close to the city of Bangor, the home of Stephen King; we do come across signed and limited editions as well as King's early work in locally published literary journals.
We buy estate libraries; new acquisitions added constantly. We offer the opportunity to buy fresh finds from the private libraries, barns and attics of New England. Much of our stock is not listed on the Internet; we are open by appointment if you would like to view our stock. If you have a particular interest, we may be able to dig out something unusual from works in progress.
