The copy of James Strohn Copley (1916-1973), the journalist, newspaperman, and publisher of the San Diego Union-Tribune (his sale, Sotheby's, June 17, 2010, lot 235), with his bookplate on the front pastedown. Very good copy; cover edges lightly rubbed, several leaves lightly spotted at the foredge. An AIGA Fifty Books of the Year (1930). Heller and Magee 140.
