Item description from seller

Signature in blue ink on beige typescript titled "Terrell Story" (one page) by Frank S. Gray and unsigned white manuscript fragment (one typed page). Two documents total. No date, circa 1940s. Typescript with signature measures 8" x 10 1/2"; unsigned manuscript measures 8 1/4" x 10 1/4." Frank S. Gray (1861-1960) was a Texas author and pioneer. He wrote Pioneer Adventures (1948), Pioneering in Southwest Texas (1949), and Story of Gray School (1950). The "Terrell Story" is a recollection about the wife of an American ambassador traveling in Switzerland who states she would rather have American freedom than live in the beautiful landscapes of Europe. The unsigned manuscript is about Gray's memories of Fort Concho, Texas.
