American tenor and songwriter remembered for popular Irish ballads such as "My Wild Irish Rose" (1899, also the name of the 1947 film version of his life) and "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling" (1912) Large and bold "Yours in Irish / Chauncey Olcott / 1906" in deep brown ink, heavy stock 3�" X 2�" card, n.p. Very good. Mild age toning. A handsome example with an appropriate inscription.
