Memorial edition. 1949 reprint of 1924 original. Inscribed by illustrator: "To Rocco. Every good wish. Virgil Finlay". This edition was printed six years after Abraham Merritt's death. According to the jacket copy, "Next to Edgar Rice Burroughs he is probably the most reprinted fantasy author in America." A previous owner had covered the reverse side of the dust jacket with protective masking tape, which has slightly bled through the white areas on the back and inside flaps. Dust jacket has now been protected with archival mylar. Seller Inventory # 001635
