Inside flap is clipped at top and bottom; top flap reads $3.95; book is clean and tight, in very good condition, midnight blue pressed decorative cloth with gilt spine and title on front; DJ is G with very slight shelfwear, with a couple of very small hairline tears. Book is VG, clean and tight; rare signed copy. Library of Congress catalog card number 59-16151; illustrated by Maurice Sendak five years before he hit it big with Where the Wild Things Are. Note: I just acquired eleven signed Sendak and am seeking a collector who is interested. They are: Where the Wild Things Are, Hurry Home Candy, Hector Protector And As I Went Over The Water, Very Far Away, A Very Special House, The Wonderful Farm, Shadrach, In The Night Kitchen, Seven Tales, and Nutcracker.
