Ballard has written on Bax's letter in sesponse to Bax's invitation to supper. 'Martin. When things quieten down would be very nice - huge PR campaign is engulfing me like World War 2- the LA to NYC trip was great. I hired a car and drove all over. The USA is just like a huge movie, Jim.' Also on a scrap of paper is a handwritten signed note by Ballard about Dixon's Frog piece ' It certainl is a very powerful piece of writng - a tremendous sustained effort buit as you say it doesn't go anywehere.' with handwritten notes by Bax for his reply to Dixon. There is also the copy of a reply by Bax to Dixon ' the best piece as it seems to Jimand me is FROG TAKES A SWIM.
