A short typed letter (signed) in blue ink on his engraved Oscar Hammerstein, 2nd letterhead (from 10 East 63 Street, New York City dated July 17, 1957) to Vivian [Ellis] who created more than 60 English stage musicals and was behind many of the popular songs which thrilled listeners before and after WW2. The text is as follows: Vivian Ellis, Esq., 4 Campden Hill Gate London w.8., England Dear Vivian: Thank you for your kind and thoughtful birthday cable. We all miss you and send our love. Sincerely Oscar. The letter is still in its original typed envelope (which shows that it was posted on July 18 in New York. Seller Inventory # 355490714012
