A wealthy stock trader is buried under a pile of his own garden rocks. There’s a twelve-million-dollar life insurance claim and Richmond Insurance doesn’t want to pay. Insurance investigator Richard Sherlock is whisked to the crime scene by his pampered protégé Tiffany.
Yuck, crushed dead guy; talk about disgusting. It’s the last place Sherlock wants to be.
Sherlock and Tiffany soon find there are no clues, no money trail, no murder weapon and a long line-up of suspects; since everybody seemed to hate the dead guy’s guts.
And worse than all that, Sherlock’s bad back is acting up, he can’t make the rent, his two teenage girls are driving him crazy, and he hates his job.
Richard Sherlock may be a reluctant dick, but he is better at finding the WHO in WHODUNIT than anyone else.
