Seapath and Other Stories by Wm. R. Johnson Jr. is a scarce Bahamian collection of short fiction centred on the sea, seafaring life, and island culture. The book was published in Nassau, Bahamas, in a limited first edition of only 500 copies, making it of interest to collectors of Caribbean and maritime literature. It comprises 53 pages with illustrations, reflecting the author's dual interests in storytelling and marine subjects.Thematically, the collection explores the relationship between Bahamians and the sea. Rather than high-adventure nautical tales, the stories appear to focus on the lives, memories, traditions, and character of seafarers and island communities. The sea is both a setting and a shaping force in the lives of the characters, linking the stories through a distinctly Bahamian maritime perspective. Ref A7 1.
