30 leaves of mounting paper [a few detached, with some edge chipping]. 1st 29 leaves filled, both sides, with clippings, momentos, etc. Last leaf blank. 14-1/4" x 12-3/8" Here offered an original photo album / scrapbook of Lu Jean Galloway, contestant for Rose Parade Queen 1948, and selected as one of the Princesses. The album is filled with news articles, John Muir Jr college campus papers, letters of congratulations, 1947 & 1948 Rose Bowl tickets, programs, souvenirs & momentoes, original sheet music for the parade and letter to Ms. Galloway by the composer. Original radio script featuring Jack Carson and signed by him. Agreements, schedules of meetings, training, competition updates in local papers, etc, etc. A wonderful, in-depth chronicling of the life of a Rose Bowl Queen contestant. Overall VG. some leaves detached, all turning brittle with some chipping, clippings beginning to yellow. Most other momentos, letters, photographs, etc. in VG+ to Nr Fine condition. Commerical scrapbook, orangish-red in color, brown cord tie, "ScrapBook" gilt stamped to front cover.
