Ten Dizains. (A dizain was a form of poetry used in France in the 15th and 16th Centuries consisting of ten lines, of which each normally has ten syllables, or more rarely eight.) 5 in. x 5 ¾ in. Marbled paper over boards. Stitch binding with two strips of ribbon on the boards, one of which has a strip of parchment on which the title is printed. Not paginated. Signed by Bentley on the first blank page after the text. From the colophon: "The Purely Visible text was set in twelve point ATF Garamond monotype by Scott Freutel at the Spring Valley Press, with titling and colophon hand-set in Weiss types by Alan Ligda at The Archive Press. One hundred copies of which this is number 15 were printed letterpress on hand-made paper by Suzanne Ferris and bound into Suminagasbe-covered boards by Nancy Clarke Hewitt. Three copies were collaged with an assortment of papers including nettle and gampi as Japanese foldbooks while Mt. St. Helens erupted flooding the Toutle.". Seller Inventory # ABE-1973215686
