Octavo, decorative cloth stamped in gilt; leather spine labels printed in gilt; top edge gilt; heavy textured endpapers with gilt floral design; tender front hinge. Large paper edition, with wood engravings by Cope, Creswick, Horsley, Redgrave, and Frederick Taylor in proof state on China paper. One of 200 numbered copies, signed by the publisher. The five artists were important members of the Etcher's Club that was instrumental in the revival of etching and wood engravings in England during the late 19th century.
