This book is largely the story of one man's lifelong experience with the good earth and in particular the story of his life on a big farm in the hill country of Ohio. Returning to America from 15 years in France, the author bought four mismanaged farms in Ohio and combined them into Malabar. This book is the story agriculture and conservation on the farm, the farm animals, and of the people -settlers to present farmers- who inhabit Pleasant Valley. This is Bromfield telling an unpretentious story of the land and the people that are closest to him. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket. Seller Inventory # 014878
