About this Item
Two page typed carbon addenda to a contract Signed by George Abbott to direct an Off-Broadway play entitled "A Girl to Remember", dated in 1963. The addenda alters the start of rehearsals and makes changes to Abbott's compensation. The 1964 production of the show was notorious because of backstage drama that included a 13-week shutdown due to a contractual dispute with its up-and-coming star, Carol Burnett, after her success in "Once Upon This Mattress". In 1997 the Betty Comden, Adolph Green, and Jule Styne musical was retitled "Fade In Fade Out" to some success. Seller Inventory # 385438
